Late, extended season, snow events create the perfect climate for a fungus called snow mold.

While snow mold is not a serious disease, left untreated it can cause long lasting damage to your yard.

Snow mold should be treated in the early Spring shortly after the snowfall is gone.  Snow mold has the appearance of a spider web in the gray form. It may also show up as pink circles in your yard.

While the home owner can have some success of removing snow mold by hand swiping or light raking, they may find it best to have it reviewed by a lawn professional. Silvis Group can do a full inspection of your lawn to evaluate the types of fungus or other conditions that may require intervention.  Our goal is to make sure you have the healthiest lawn possible moving into the spring season.  As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Let Silvis Group mold your yard not the snow!
